Greenway Yoga is a speak-easy yoga studio hidden on Eat Street where we provide group classes in a peaceful environment. We're on Nicollet Ave near Uptown Minneapolis and the Greenway Bike Path. (Location here) Greenway's mission is to make intentional yoga classes accessible to all; all while sustaining the integrity of the economy, the community, and the planet. We call this initiative the Green Yoga Movement.
Make a difference
Event funds are responsibly divided equally to sustain our studio, the environment, and the community. This means with every yoga practice, our students have committed to their well being, the well being of the economy, the environment, and the people around them. Class event funds are donated to local causes!
Our group seeks programs and organizations that are working towards improving the world around us. We use the class pledges from our studio to support sustainable organizations, programs, communities, and people who are in need of help. Contact us if you think we can help!
Sustainability is often viewed as the capacity to endure economically, environmentally, and socially. Brundtland Commission of the United Nations on March 20, 1987 defined sustainable development as: "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
We seek charities that contribute towards sustained development of one or more of these area:
Economical- the ability of an economy to support a defined level of economic production indefinitely.
Environmental- the resources to foster life, biodiversity, and natural resources.
Social- human development, resilience, and empowerment.
